Set BIOS to Boot from CD/DVD in 5 Easy Steps

When you install any Operating System or programs, you need to boot your system for completing the process. If you are using a bootable CD or DVD disk than any ROM device is compulsory for your system. Already the system has a CD or DVD ROM, first enter into BIOS using F12 function key when system startup and choose a boot menu to change the boot order as CD/DVD Device. It is very easy to use for all, not a difficult. Please follow some steps carefully and implement on your PC for booting from CD/DVD disk.

You can direct boot any bootable device without has entered in the BIOS just using boot menu, but its only temporary solution. Normally F12 function key is the open boot menu when system startup and choose an option from booting.

Some company’s mother boards are using same function key for BIOS, but some are different. Here are some function keys….

New Computers BIOS hot keys F1, F2, DEL, ESC, F10* and Older Computers BIOS hot key are CTRL + ALT + ESC, CTRL + ALT + S, CTRL + ALT + ENTER, CTRL + ALT + S, PAGE UP KEY, PAGE DOWN KEY.

How to Boot from CD or DVD Drive

When your PC startup and shows any booting message on your screen, then presses key write on booting message.

Following some steps mention below for setting up Boot order to booting CD/DVD Device.

1 Function key " F2 " press on your keyboard for entering in BIOS.

2 When you see the boot screen, please keyboard "??" key to select.

3 Select option "Boot Device Priority" using keyboard "??" arrow key then press "Enter".

4 Boot menu has various options, but you select first booting "CDROM" in "1st Boot Device" option.

5 Press "F10" function key to saving your BIOS setting and then press "Enter" for Save & Exit.
